As a freelance project with Cuento Marketing, I helped to produce video cards showing player names for the visiting MLB teams playing against the Detroit Tigers at Publix Field in Lakeland, Florida during the Spring training season. This was largely a production effort, where I was supplied the base design and was tasked with inserting the appropriate team logos and player names. This was a large exercise in using automation scripts, as there were nine teams with at least 40 players per team. I utilized the Variable Import script from Christian Da for automating file naming conventions, Illustrator dynamic variables for merging the player names database with the design, and Illustrator actions for batch exporting each video card.
